Paintings : Desta Hagos
	Desta Hagos is one of the leading contemporary Ethiopian women artists over the years .Her artwork has frequently been exhibited in Ethiopia .She has received international recognition for her honest and tender rendering of reality in the United States of America, Canada and Denmark. Her works can be found in international organizations as well as private collections including at the national museum here in Ethiopia. Born in Adawa in 1952,she attended the Empress Menen secondary school, after which she jointed the Addis Ababa fine art school from where she graduated in 1969.She perused her studies further at California Lutheran University in the U.S culminating in her B.A degree in 1973.
Her paintings are mainly realistic, which she says requires a lot of study as well as love, devotion and patience. She particularly enjoys working with watercolors. Next
